For our R&D facility in Winterthur (Switzerland) we are looking for a
Trainee (4 - 6 months)
Your tasks
You assist our R&D engineers in their current projects for our Separation Technology division (www.sulzer.com/en/Products-and-Services/Separation-Technology). Typical products are structured and random packing, trays and gas/liquid or liquid/liquid separators. The R&D projects include all steps from the concept phase to a market-ready product: the first prototype, experiments, data evaluation and finally the reporting. The major part of your time will be dedicated to experimental work, i.e. testing equipment in hydraulic test rigs, absorbers, distillation columns and phase separators. You will also help to maintain and improve our test facilities or even design your own new test rig.
Your profile
We look for excellent students with a solid understanding of thermodynamics and mass transfer, experience with programming, CAD (e.g. Solidworks) and/or process automation (e.g. Labview).
Beside a solid theoretical basis, some basic mechanical skills are beneficial.
