  • Role is within Credit’s Suisse global IT Technology and Infrastructure function (TIS).  Reports to the head of Windows Operations.

  • Overall responsibility to ensure a smooth stable operation of the Microsoft Windows Server and VMware vSphere Server cloud infrastructure.

  • L2  Support of the virtual Infrastructure, incl. administration and maintenance activities for complex VMware vSphere based server cloud

  • L2 Support (Incident-, Problem-, Change-Management) of ~6’000 high available Windows server systems and clusters (Server 2003/2008/2012/2016)

  • Automation of routine tasks and development of enhancements with the use of PowerShell scripting language

  • Performance analysis with vRops, vCenter, Perfmon, Grafana

  • Coordination of the specific tasks in Windows Servers e.g Patch Deployment

  • Support for integration of new systems and products, including support for projects through all environments from test to production. 

  • Quality assurance and acceptance tests for Windows systems, standard builds and software components

  • Root cause analysis and implementation of sustainable solutions

  • Execute disaster recovery (DR) tests in cooperation with application support teams

  • Create, revise and update technical documentation

  • On-call support (7x24h) for Windows and ESX Operations team

  • Support project managers for implementation of new application solutions, including technical support

  • Quality management, operation level management


You Offer

 

  • Completed apprenticeship in Information Technology or adequate education

  • Several years of work experience in system administration of Windows 2003, 2008, 2012 and vSphere Systems in larger environments

  • Attendance to 7x24h On-Call support

  • Attendance to weekend work and work outside office hours

  • Practical experience in Incident-, Problem and Change Management, including root cause analysis

  • Powershell/Power CLI skills

  • Knowledge and/or experience in Systems Management Tools (e.g. SCCM, ServiceNow) and ITIL V3 is an advantage. 

  • Knowhow in system administration of SAN and NAS attached Systems

  • Strong analytical and strategic abilities with solid implementation skills

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work and communicate effectively with senior management and other stakeholders

  • Fluent in English and German (spoken and written)
