Position description


The Duty Station Manager Geneva represents and embodies SWISS, Lufthansa and Austrian Airlines at Geneva Airport. She/He manages the interfaces with our main suppliers within daily ground handling operations, ensures SWISSness and a safe, reliable and efficient ground operation at Geneva Airport. The Duty Station Manager reports to the Station Manager Geneva.


Your Duties



  • Monitor all processes in the different handling areas

  • Ensure and control delivery of all airport related customer processes through all customer touch points at Geneva Airport, respecting the existing procedures and standards

  • Report any visible shortcomings (resources, staff, infrastructures) of any service provider to the responsible organization and request the necessary corrective measures

  • Propose pro-actively measures in case of expected/anticipated irregularities

  • Ensure implementation of new procedures, processes or product features and enhancements

  • Monitor quality performance and ensure corrective action by the service provider

  • Assist service providers and airport authorities in the improvement of processes

  • Manage interfaces with local internal and external customers and authorities

  • Work in close cooperation with various Lufthansa Group organizations.


Requirements



  • College of higher education or apprenticeship in transport or similar

  • Several years of leadership experience

  • Experience across several functional areas within the airline industry is an asset

  • Experience in ground operations or similar

  • Customer and highly result oriented

  • Strong personality, reliable and self-initiative

  • Team player, above average flexibility and ability to work under pressure

  • Ability to master difficult/challenging situations

  • Ability to focus and prioritize while maintaining an overview

  • Ready to work in shifts and on weekends

  • Oral and written communication skills in French and English, German is an asset
