We are seeking a Citizen Data Scientist to join Philip Morris Digital based in our Operations Centre in Lausanne, Switzerland. We want to disrupt the way we make decisions with the stories told by data. We believe that every decision, every day, should be driven by data driven insights. More than a year and half ago, Philip Morris International (PMI) has established the Enterprise Analytics and Data (EAD) organization with a dedicated Data Science team. We need to accelerate the identification and formulation of data science use cases with the highest importance for RRP. This starts with ideation, hypothesis formulation and data science Use Case build based on in-depth knowledge of a subject domain current challenges and needs. Your main role will be to deliver product, competitor, market and industry consumer intelligence and provide actionable insights to our digital, commercial and other functional teams and affiliates. You will be responsible for: • Information gathering & evaluation: collect, read, interpret, integrate and maintain information from various relevant stakeholders, with a focus on RRP relevant intelligence • Analyzing & hypothesis: analyze the status quo of processes, related data and various relevant inputs to identify the root cause of problems and identify opportunities to solve problems an derive meaningful and impactful insights • Key Metrics & Dashboards: define and evaluate key metrics, understand what moves them and why own conceptualizing, developing, and maintenance of dashboards and visualizations to share in-sights • Collaboration: collaborate with various stakeholders to source, evaluate and prioritize the information required (i.e. data scientists, business owners, data engineers, business analysts, data managers, data architects etc.) • Communication, Data story telling & visualization: translate findings and results into a compelling narrative About you: • Strong experience in commercial intelligence, market research, business planning and business analytics, in Consumer Packaged Goods FMCGRetail industries preferred. • Domain expertise ability to share the most effective way the data driven in-sights • Ability to understand & support data models by easy-to-use interactive BI dashboards • Experience in SQL & Jupyter (ideally) Understanding of Python use in Analytics delivery Strong and practical experience in using Visualization tools • Business Acumen – ability to understand various business functions and markets, cross-functional interdependencies, business KPIs. Ability to ask the right questions, formulate problem statement and outcome of analytics according to audience.
