  • A challenging role with the General Counsel department acting as a specialist data protection lawyer, advising on complex banking secrecy and privacy matters

  • A senior advisor role supporting a variety of internal stakeholders, on a cross-divisional and functional basis, with respect to the processing of personal, client and other relevant confidential data, in line with applicable Swiss laws and regulations as well as Credit Suisse policies

  • The opportunity to advise on legal data protection requirements in the context of strategic transformational projects, including FinTech and outsourcing arrangements, and to assist with the design and implementation of internal frameworks

  • A senior role with responsibility for the drafting and review of data protection-relevant policy language and for the support of key internal stakeholders, such as CISO and IT, on interpretation and implementation of information security processes and controls

  • Responsibility for advising on legal data protection rights and obligations in the context of customer relationships, including participation in complex negotiations and advising on data subject requests

  • The opportunity to work closely and collaboratively with the Credit Suisse Group Data Protection Officer on legal data protection matters of importance to the bank

You Offer

 

  • A sound legal background with at least six years professional experience working as a lawyer, with an in-depth knowledge and experience of data protection laws in Switzerland, (knowledge of GDPR is beneficial)

  • University degree in Law and LLM or an admission to the Swiss bar

  • You possess excellent legal and analytical skills and exercise of judgment with high ethical and control standards

  • You also possess strong interpersonal, multi-tasking and time management skills which enables you to establish and maintain effective client relationships and trust

  • You have excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate very clearly both orally and in writing in German and English

  • You have experience working in an international multi-cultural and dynamic environment which will enable you to contribute to the team’s success
