Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currently looking for Bio-Pharmaceutical Process Engineer to support a number of projects in the pharmaceutical engineering sector at our Swiss Office.

 

This position will be on projects working alongside our process department.

 

Responsibilities: 

• Process engineering design and specification of equipment


• Development of mass and energy balances


• Preparation of P&IDs, line lists, equipment lists, media consumption lists


• Elaboration of process descriptions and operating manuals


• Preparation of function specifications


• Support for the development of conceptual design - Development of PFDs, layouts, process optimization


• Support for the development of basic and detail engineering


• Support activities for commissioning, qualification, validation


• Strong and developed sense of health and safety within the working environment and in the design process, and can contribute to maintaining the highest of standard

Skills / Qualifications

 

• Degree in Chemical / Process Engineering / Pharmaceutical Technology


• 1-3 years of experience in Process Design


• Fluency in German and English in writing and word is a must. French or any other language an asset


• Working Experience in a GMP environment would be a plus


• Advanced knowledge and application of cGMP


• Valid work permit for Basel, Switzerland, or able to obtain a permit


• Well-developed communication skills - both verbal and written


• Ability to communicate proactively with discipline representatives in the co-ordination of their work


• Ability to convert the technical knowledge into practical solutions


• Team player, cooperative with other staff with open sharing of information and knowledge
