Head of Logistics (m/f) DACH


 


Your Mission



  • Manage and improve quality, safety, security, cost & service delivery for logistics services

  • Contract management with logistics service providers and continuously improve the logistics suppliers performance in cooperation with Procurement department

  • Responsible for the forecasting of the logistics budget and control of the expenses in collaboration with Finance

  • Drive continuous process improvement within logistics from supply point to customers’ ship-to-locations

  • Lead projects to save logistics costs across DACH in collaboration with other functions, customers and Supply Points

  • As part of Supply Chain DACH leadership team manage and support development of people (6 directs reports across sites in Germany, Austria and Switzerland; overall a team of 17 people)

  • Coordination of the Swiss Supply Chain functions to ensure efficient operations (i.e. physical presence in Zurich required min. 50% of time)

 

Your Profile 



  • University Degree in Business Administration or Management (or similar), ideally with focus on Supply Chain Management / Logistics and / or Procurement

  • Broad supply chain work experience (min. 5 years), ideally in FMCG industry across multiple roles

  • Experience of working with 3PL’s in an operational management role

  • Strong project management skills

  • Inspirational leader able to build impactful relationships

  • Pro-actively anticipating risks and find solutions

  • Flexibility, mobility and willingness to travel frequently

  • Excellent communication skills in German and English; French as plus
