IT Infrastructure Architect (f/m) 100%Zürich-OerlikonDuties and responsibilities:
Define and develop high-level IT Infrastructure Architecture and required blueprints/roadmaps fulfilling the security-, SLA/OLA requirements and following best practices and cost efficiency
Review and approve of system designs documentation and provide feedback
Drive infrastructure transformation projects
Define and optimize IT infrastructure principles
Provide support to the members of IT projects and other teams in the daily usage and maintenance of the architecture
Represent the Architecture team in projects and towards other departments
Advise and support the management team regarding any infrastructure related strategic and operational decisions/projects
Qualifications:
University Degree (e.g. MSc) or equivalent
3+ years of IT infrastructure architecture practice (design and operation) ideally within the telecom industry
Good technical understanding in Operating Systems (Windows or Linux), Server virtualization, Databases, Storage (SAN, NAS), Network Technologies (LAN/WAN), Backup
Strong background in design and deployment of high availability systems
Good understanding of network and application access architectures (forward and reverse proxies, application gateways/routers and SSL VPN products)
Past experience with infrastructure migration projects involving virtualization or external hosting would be desirable
Proven track record in managing infrastructure projects
Ability to recognize complex requirements and translate them into solutions
Communicative, open and capable of working in a multicultural and highly dynamic environment
Fluent in English, German would be an asset
