PG Impact Investments (PGII) is the global Impact Investing firm backed by Partners Group. The purpose of PGII is to harness the efficiency of private markets and entrepreneurship to alleviate poverty and address pressing social and environmental challenges. PGII follows an integrated investment strategy aimed at generating both impact and market rate financial returns. Its funds invest across all impact sectors and geographies with focus on housing, microfinance, financial services, energy access, food and agriculture in emerging markets. The funds invest via direct investments (debt and equity) and other funds/mandates.


 


In this position you will support PG Impact Investments' Private Equity Fund and Co-investment team in Zug with responsibilities across all aspects of private market investments, including sourcing, execution, related financings, on-going monitoring and divestitures globally.


 


Your tasks will include:


 



  • Assessing and valuing prospective fund and co-investment opportunities globally, with a focus on emerging markets

  • Modeling business plans, LBO structures, fund portfolios and investment returns

  • Participating actively in due diligence work streams on prospective investments (e.g. financial, commercial, tax and legal due diligence)

  • Drafting internal investment recommendation documents

  • Contributing to the negotiation and drafting of legal corporate documentation  (e.g. LPA, side letters, SPA, SHA, MIP)

  • Monitoring and supporting portfolio investments throughout our investment period

  • Conducting various other tasks related to product reporting, market research, marketing efforts and special projects


What we expect

The successful candidate should demonstrate:


 



  • Excellent academic credentials with a minimum of a bachelor's degree from a top-tier university

  • 1-3 (analyst) or 3-5 (associate) years of work experience with a leading industry player in private equity, M&A, leverage finance or management consulting

  • Private markets fund investment experience a plus

  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal and written communication skills

  • Proficiency in financial modeling

  • Strong capabilities in Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint

  • Superior organizational competence (planning, scheduling, coordinating and time management)

  • Excellent teamwork skills within international settings (several languages and/or international experience will be considered a plus)

  • Excellent language skills (proficient) in English; other languages a plus

  • Emerging markets, impact investing and non-profit experience desired

  • Keen interest in impact investing

  • A strong desire to learn and succeed, along with impeccable work ethic, professional demeanor and appearance

  • Entrepreneurial spirit and excitement to contributing to the build-up of a new venture

  • Right to live and work in Switzerland / the Schengen Area
