For a joint project between the Microscopy and Magnetism and the Low-Energy Muons Groups we are looking for a
Postdoctoral Fellow
in quantum technologies using X-rays and muons
Your tasks
To develop novel methods based on X-ray and muon spin spectroscopies for manipulation of molecular spins
To perform X-ray absorption spectroscopy and X-ray magnetic circular dichroism experiments at the Swiss Light Source
To perform muon-spin spectroscopy using the SmuS facilities at PSI
To present the newly developed methods and the obtained results in international conferences and scientific journals
Your profile
You hold a PhD degree in physics or physical chemistry, preferably with focus on magnetic resonance techniques such as electron paramagnetic and nuclear magnetic resonance. You are highly motivated, experimentally skilled and have good communication skills in English. Having experience in the fields of X-ray absorption spectroscopy, muon spin spectroscopy or molecular magnetism will be considered an asset for this position.
