For the Neutron Imaging of Electrochemical Systems Group within the Electorchemistry Laboratory we are looking for a


PhD Student


Neutron Imaging of Li-ion Batteries: A novel way towards performance and durability improvement

Your tasks



  • Analyze limitations related to Li-ion transport in liquid and solid state Li-ion batteries

  • Design and realize test cells for in situ neutron imaging of operating batteries

  • Image processing and data analysis / Elecrochemical testing

  • Publish in international scientific journals


Your profile



  • Master degree in an engineering field, physics or material sciences

  • English fluently written and spoken

  • Skilled in data processing with Matlab or a similar environment

  • Knowledge in Electrochemistry would be an asset


You will be registered as a PhD Student at the ETH Zürich.
