Senior Network Engineer (f/m) 100%Zürich-OerlikonDuties and responsibilities:
Engineering of the Sunrise IP/MPLS network
Technical development of services over the data network such as business data and security services
Creating solutions and end-to-end network designs with high degree of automation for Data Center infrastructure, SDN and SD-WAN, NFV and vCPE
Creating RFQ documents and assessing RFQ responses in the field of data network, including Data Center infrastructure, SDN and SD-WAN, NFV and vCPE
Authoring of network plans, documentation and guidelines related to the Sunrise data network
Presentation of the network and service designs, analysis of solutions to the internal stakeholders
Supporting Business and Product Management in developing new services over the Sunrise data network, covering all relevant aspects of the technical service development
Support projects pertaining to the Sunrise data network (e.g. lifecycle projects, network upgrades, network redesign etc.)
Planning and executing proof-of-concept and regression testing, authoring of the test catalogues, automation of the test setup
Qualifications:
Degree in Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of experience in data network engineering and data network area
Proficiency in OpenStack, NFV, SDN, SD-WAN and vCPE technologies
Ability to author designs, plans and guideline documents at the high (HLD) and detailed level (LLD)
Very good understanding of Carrier and ISP data networks and associated technologies (IP/MPLS, DNS, DHCP) as well as common NFV applications in the data network (security, web acceleration etc.)
Good communication and presentation skills in fluent English
Strong analytical skills, ability to capture and translate internal/external customer needs into technical requirements and solutions, and to abstract and explain complex technical subjects in simple terms
Strong social skills, able to work efficiently in a team and able to build relationship with internal and external stakeholders
