Move offers a non-hierarchical, inclusive international working environment with many opportunities to take ownership in crafting a new definition of private banking.

At Move, you will become part of the dynamic, fast-paced environment of a growing Fintech company. From the first day, you are a member of an execution driven team and see the fruits of your work come to live almost instantly.

We are looking for Fintech enthusiasts with strong analytical skillsets who are keen to explore the newest applications of nowcasting techniques in order to apply them in the context of financial investments. We seek a creative mind to lead the formalization of the nowcasting process into a statistical model which produces predictions without the need for informal judgement (departing from traditional heuristic approaches).

  • Conduct macroeconomic research

  • Select and learn about relevant (macro)-economic variables (e.g. Economic Surprise / Uncertainty)

  • Exploit information from a large quantity of data series (big data analysis on economic indicators, stock and derivative market data)

  • Collect an overview of different nowcasting methods (e.g. CFNAI, NIC, ADS etc) incl. regression methods (e.g. Midas, PCA etc)

  • Develop novel nowcasting method based on state space / Kalman filter technique [1]

  • Conduct sophisticated statistical modeling given inherent intra- and inter-serial correlation problems between different economic indicators at different frequencies and with different publication lags

  • Develop early recommendations on computed estimates in relation to the real-time flow of data releases

  • Illustrate developed frameworks on empirical examples / case studies within the context of investing

  • Master or PHD in statistics / economics

  • Previous work experience in similar or related project

  • Strong analytical skillset

  • Experimental mindset with creativity to find novel solutions
