Risk Manager – Asset and Liability Management (ALM)

As part of the Risk Management department you contribute to goals and objectives of the Group. Through the use of data analytics and reporting you provide insights and support decisions and by that you control risks, manage losses, ensure regulatory compliance and contribute to business initiatives.Key responsibilities

  • Perform ALM reporting including interest rate risk, liquidity risk, capital adequacy metrics and report out to relevant business forums

  • Comprehensively and systematically monitor risk positions relative to risk appetite/limits, report to relevant forums and ensure appropriate escalations when needed

  • Understand dynamics in financial metrics through quantitative and qualitative analyses, execution of stress tests and scenario analyses

  • Proactively monitor changes in market and regulatory environment, assess the impact and provide recommendations for the Group

  • Assess and communicate the potential impacts on the Group's ALM risk through any changes in balance sheet, changes of the external market or regulatory environment

  • Develop and maintain stress testing models for interest rate risk, liquidity risk and capital framework

  • Assure quality of financial control metrics and models through respective documentation of systems and processes

  • Contribute to the Group's cross-functional projects and initiatives related to ALM risk management

  • Collaborate closely with other control functions, especially in the area of financial and credit risks

  • Identify processes to be improved, simplified or automated to further strengthen the Group's controlling, forecasting and reporting of ALM metrics

  • Develop and execute ALM related controls

  • Exercise oversight function for Treasury

Your profile

  • Hands-on experience (3+ years) in risk management in financial services (e.g. Credit risk, Asset & Liability risk)

  • Solid knowledge of regulation (e.g. FINMA, Basel, US GAAP accounting standards)

  • Completed bachelor degree in numerical studies

  • Advanced
    analytical and programming expertise (e.g. SAS or SQL)

  • Solid written, verbal and presentation skills in English and German/French

  • Structured thinker with analytical curiosity and proven ability to deliver on tight deadlines
