ManufacturingAs part of Manufacturing, you’ll use your skills, our systems and a wide array of raw materials to help create the delicious finished products our consumers love. While taking ownership in your area of work, you’ll also ensure the safety of yourself and your colleagues while producing our top-quality products reliably and efficiently within our integrated supply chain.


Purpose of the role:

  • Make sure that our product has been produced with compliance to legal standards and meets customer expectations

  • Ensure food safety and quality of produced goods by managing and coordinating activities of analytical and microbiological laboratories 

  • Maintain efficient quality management systems (e.g. Quality Chain Management Systems, ISO) implemented at the Plant in accordance with Mondelēz International quality standards and all relevant legal requirements

  • Be part of and actively drive our continuous improvement journey, Consumer Inspired Quality journey and co-lead the quality pillar

  • Be part of the Plant Leadership Team


Main Responsibilities :

  • Maintain, upgrade as needed and improve the Quality Chain Management System (QCMS) as part of the Production Company’s systems to manage product quality in accordance with Mondelez guidelines, in a way which ensures continuous improvement against Quality KPI's (e.g., Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), consumer, trade and/or customer complaints)

  • Ensure that specific risk assessments (e.g., HACCP, product contamination, production interruption, etc.) performed to minimise health or accident risks and prevent product and asset losses

  • Assure Quality by testing all relevant (chemical, physical, microbiological, sensory) properties of established and new raw materials, packaging materials, processes, semi-finished and finished products in accordance with Mondelez Guidelines, ISO Standards, HACCP system, relevant legal requirements and internal documents

  • Manage QA Department’s team by setting goals to direct reports and assessing their performance, coach, co-ordinate and monitor regularly their activities

  • Coordinate special situations (concerning food safety, product quality which e.g. could lead to a product recall) together with Plant Manager and MDLZ SST (core team)

  • Ensure proper planning and monitoring of the Quality Assurance department’s budget, support planning of investments and preparation of appropriation requests and ensure that all quality protection measures and actions are taken in the most cost efficient way


Qualifications

 

Qualifications and Experiences:



  • University degree in Chemistry, Biochemical, Biology, Microbiology, Food Science or similar

  • Minimum 5+ years of hands-on management or supervisory experience in Quality and Laboratory area in food or related industry.

  • Leadership experience

  • Must have knowledge of HACCP & food safety, hygiene & sanitation procedures, safety requirements, food manufacturing regulations (FDA), GMP

  • Understanding and experience in driving cultural change

  • Fluent English and min. communicative German
