With this job posting for the position “Program Management Office Lead”, we invite you to join us the Global Customer Engagement Program in Pharma IT. In this program, you will be assuming a leading conceptual, managerial and fully accountable role. Reporting to the program director and being a member of the extended program leadership team, you will assume a highly visible function, pushing forward our understanding, actions and outcomes in engaging Roche Pharma customers.


The PMO leader holds overall accountability and responsibility to support the program director through project management support, project implementation methodology and a consistent framework to measure and align the program’s effectiveness. The role is the senior advisor role to other program bodies including the program directorate, the track/tribe leaders, and external partners.


The PMO leader owns the program’s project portfolio, the program overall and detailed schedule, the program risk and action log. It is responsible for a consistent adoption to the chosen program’s implementation and deployment strategy. The role maintains the program’s progress report, supervises the tracking of program and project milestones, and support the program director regarding all administrational and organizational tasks. It ensuring the adherence of all program bodies to the methodology, efficient use of the program’s information channels and tactics.


The PMO leader manages the design, planning and execution of program leadership meetings, design workshops, and program and project kick-offs. The role also owns the methods and tools used for managing the program and its underlying projects over their lifecycle, including the creation of the required program deliverables. The role is responsible to demonstrate the value generated through the program to sponsors and steering groups.


As an additional main accountability, the PMO Lead supports the piLT Head of Strategic Projects driving PMO principles and best practices across pi with approximately up to 30% of total workload.


Your key responsibilities are as follows.



  • Support program director and program leadership functions regarding all program and project planning topics

  • Develop, implement and promote project management best practices and tools for program and project planning, implementation design and program portfolio management

  • Ensure that any program activities follow the chosen management methodologies

  • Ensure proper program and project definitions and designs

  • Ensure information channels are setup in an adequate and tailored way.

    Support sourcing and staffing of all program and project activities with appropriate skills and competencies, especially for project leadership roles (agile, scrum).


  • Share and communicate the program outcomes and decisions with program entities and other affected parties to enable informed conversations across all groups

  • Maintain program risk log, action log, and all program minutes and recordings of decisions

  • Ensure the program’s schedule, budget, milestones, outcomes, deliverables, quality and value are on track

  • Additionally, acting as the head of staff to the piLT Head of Strategic Projects, you

    • ensure that the Pharma IT portfolio is well maintained

    • the piLT agenda is well defined and balanced

    • information assets are well designed and timely distributed

    • decisions are recorded, distributed and received by affected parties



Requirements:


We are looking for you as a personality with courage, the ambition to reach beyond established limits. You have a passion for relationships, for achieving very ambitious targets and for maximizing the benefit for everyone. You have a proven track record in managing complex projects or equivalently as a senior advisor to program and project lead functions. Ideally you are familiar with commercial and medical processes and solutions.


Your experience could be as such:



  • 10+ years of experience working in IT environment. Experience of pharmaceutical / life sciences industry desirable

  • 8+ years of professional experience as a Program or Project Manager with a variety of projects’ size and complexity or having worked as a senior PMO internal or external consultant

  • PMP certification (or equivalent) is a must

  • Proven track record in financial management is a must

  • Proven track record in leading IT strategic agendas

  • Strong communication skills

  • Proven track record in directly or indirectly leading virtual teams in multi-cultural environments

  • Proven track record in dealing with senior business leaders and stakeholders

  • Agile mindset with clear goal orientation

  • Fluent English (oral and written) is essential
