The Purchasing and Logistics Department is responsible to ensure timely delivery of aircraft materials to the Maintenance organisation in the right quantity, time and the right place. As Technical Purchaser you ensure the supply of spare parts, support equipment and services for maintenance on a short term basis to avoid any disruption to the dispatch reliability of the aircraft and in the long term to ensure the optimum purchasing efficiency.
Your Duties
Responsible for purchase and timely supply of spare parts (that are not covered by a pooling contract), tools and non-aircraft material
Responsible of the timely supply of spare parts covered by a pool in accordance with the contract limitations
Responsible for market search for new suppliers in order to reduce costs and in regards to spares and tooling that were not bought before
Monitor ordered material
Ensure tracking and tracing of shipments and of adequate stock levels
Negotiate with suppliers to get best economic conditions Maintain data quality in the ERP system (AMOS)
Responsible for answering technical queries in AMOS
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations from Aviation Authorities and SWISS quality
Ensure continuous communication of material status to various stakeholders
Ensure supplier evaluation and supplier relationship management for defined suppliers (monitoring of supplier performance and maintaining supplier relations)
Support the quality department concerning the extension of internal supplier approvals as well as the issuance of approvals for new suppliers
Cooperate with Strategic Procurement in regards to spares procurement from contracted suppliers in order to keep negotiation power, to use spares credits and to improve the supplier`s performance where necessary
Verify the correctness of invoices in cooperation with Accounting concerning prepayments, charging of suppliers and missing goods receiving bookings
Identify improvement initiatives in the area of the supply chain
Participate in Purchasing projects as a team member
Interface with Legal, Tax, Risk Management, Finance, or others as necessary
Requirements
Successful apprenticeship in commercial area ("KV") or technical apprenticeship with commercial training ("Technischer Kaufmann")
Further education such as Bachelor degree or specialised training (e.g. "Eidg. Einkaufsfachmann" or "CIPS") as an advantage
Additional training in Supply Chain / Purchasing / Logistics
Very good German and English language skills
