Junior Fund Controller
Job specification
• Management of accounting (financial accounting, management of accounts receivable and accounts payable), including cash management (short-/long-term cash flow planning, bridging facility) of the Schroder Adveq fund of funds and mandates
• Interaction with investment partners, tax authorities, auditors, Investors and other involved parties
• Monitoring of portfolio companies, funds and client products, as well as the reconciliation/testing of information accuracy and consistency
• Interface between several internal and external stakeholders
• You will liaise with investment companies and fund managers in order to verify the accuracy and completeness of investment data
• Oversight investment reports that form the basis for Schroder Adveq’s reporting obligations to clients at portfolio company level, analyse this information and determine the correct valuations
• Manage internal workflows and ensure that all applicable deadlines are met
Required profile
• Bachelor degree in Accounting and Finance, Business Administration, or similar education
• At least 1-2 years of professional work experience in Controlling / Analysis (preferably within private equity or asset management industry)
• Good knowledge in book keeping, accounting and reporting (US GAAP and LUX GAAP)
• A high level of motivation and initiative, a commitment to meeting the very highest standards, an ability to work accurately and efficiently when under pressure, and a proven team player
• Excellent skills in an MS Office environment (specially Excel)
• Team-Player and ability to work independently
• Fluent in German and English
