  • You the chance to partner with the Business Advisory team to work with applications to ensure optimal compliant use of data

  • Advise potential & existing users / stakeholders on exchange policies and market data license requirements

  • Work with SVM to answer complex licensing questions related to requirements, etc.

  • Accountable for maintaining a knowledge database of the exchange policies, reporting requirements and license restrictions OR select and manage a vendor to deliver this service

  • Provide consultancy expertise to solution consultants / users / project teams at the contract level with regards to data usage and licensing

  • Collaborate with SVM (who manage 3rd party agreements) to resolve any licensing issues or concerns

  • Conduct onsite and virtual visits across group, liaising with all business users to communicate compliance policy across the Bank

  • Ensure the right understanding of the procedures by users and the right risk perception based on their usage of market data.

  • Conduct an annual certification and application owner attestation regarding application usage and adherence to the compliance policies and usage of market data.

  • Ensure correct contractual agreements in place for all areas of Credit Suisse market data

  • Understand potential audit exposure and usage of exchange data - maintain a database for analysis

  • Produce “what you need to know and upcoming audit events” newsletter for users

  • Facilitate reporting of fee liable data access, usage and credits to exchanges & vendors 

  • Recommend, build, and manage training for users on Market Data licensing and compliance

  • Research use of possible internal compliance tools and tracking internal use of feeds

  • Work with ORLICA to improve oversight of market data permissioning controls and exchange declarations

  • Assist ORLICA with ongoing MDM inventory improvements in the areas of compliance and control

  • Ensure applications’ respective application users are entitled properly in the respective entitlement systems (DACS, EMRS, others) in order to enable a compliant usage reporting whether applications and users are using the data as designed (and reported)

  • Analyze the data usage regularly, e.g. to observe changing data usage pattern of applications

  • Drive an exchange market data strategy with the goal of consolidating dispersed exchanges to increase control (fewer usage rules to apply to) and reduce financial risk (fewer exchanges auditing

  • Manage exchange & vendor audits and follow ups

  • Assemble exchange audit working groups and exchange face-off teams (will vary based on exchange and business)

  • Facilitate determination of audit exposure allocations to business units

  • Generate lessons learned documents and work with app teams and users ensure violation is prevented in future

  • A thorough and detailed understanding of the market data landscape

  • Expert Market Data industry experience, preferably with a market data vendor or from a similar Compliance role within a financial institution.

  • Confident communication skills, you know how to speak with people at all levels

  • A team player mentality who can operate independently

  • The ability to meet contractually required deadlines

  • An understanding of contractual requirements in market data

  • Experience of market data use within applications

  • Have detailed knowledge of market data permissioning controls such as Thomson Reuters DACS

  • Has hands-on experience of market data inventory systems (like MDM)

  • Pays meticulous attention to detail
