Abbott Established Pharmaceutical Division is looking for an

Senior Financial Analyst - Procurement

at the EPD Headquarter in Basel - Allschwil.

The job holder will be r esponsible for financial planning and analysis of Division PPV and Procurement related savings and DPO (Days payable Outstanding) cash flow management reporting.The jobholder will be accountable for the quality and timeliness of Procurement and DPO reporting and compliance with local and corporate policies and procedures. He/she is in regular contact with the EPD Finance and One Procurement personnel as part of day to day activities.

Main Responsibilities

Working with Corporate Procurement and Regional Finance teams to identify and track Division Procurement saving projects:

• Consolidation of EPD Procurement savings for Plans and LBE’s


• Monthly tracking on actual savings versus plan targets


• Cost/benefit analysis and verification of pipeline project opportunities


• Interaction with Regional Finance teams in reconciling savings targets with P&L actuals  


• Preparation of monthly reports for Division Management


• Responsible for ensuring Plan and LBE Division savings targets are aligned with Corporate Procurement

   

DPO:

Support divisional DPO team to:

• Monthly tracking of regional DPO plans and review of key movements


• Review key variances with regional DPO teams


• Support in completion of Ad Hoc DPO requests from Corporate


• Build long term roadmap for achieving DPO target for EPD

Other:

• Ensure compliance with local and Corp Procurement policies and procedures


• Other Purchasing related activities and projects that may arise


• Provide ongoing support to SC Controller in respect of Procurement and Finance related activities

Your profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or similar qualification


• Accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) an advantage


• Minimum 3-5 year experience in Finance


• Experience within Procurement in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred but not mandatory


• Project management experience. First leadership experience would be a plus


• SAP and Excel literate   


• Experience working within a multinational environment


• Experience in financial modelling and cost-benefit analysis would be an advantage


• Strong communication, presentation and teamwork skills


• Very good English language skills are required, any other language would be an asset
