For its location in Allschwil (CH), close to Basel, Abbott Established Pharmaceutical Division (EPD) is looking for a pro-active individual in the role of

Senior Financial Analyst, 100%.

Main Responsibilities

As a Team Member of our motivated and proactive EPD Headquarter Finance team in a fast growing, challenging and interesting environment, the P rimary Duties and Responsibilities of the Job may include:

• Coaching and partnering the Marketing-, Market Access-, and IT- team on any financial matter


• Guarantee a smooth monthly closing process in cooperation with the teams


• Analyze monthly results, prepare adequate monthly Reporting and discuss with main stakeholders


• Calculate Business Cases (NPV/IRR) for and in cooperation with the teams, challenge assumptions and results and prepare them to present to the Innovation Board


• Include planning of the cost in alignment (bottom up and top down) with Last Best Estimate (LBE) timelines and procedures


• Estimate quarter end results in alignment with teams to guarantee high forecast accuracy


• Ad hoc analyzes

The profile

• Bachelor’s or Master's Degree (preferred) in Finance, Accounting or  equivalent



• Minimum 5-7 years work experience in Financial Planning and Analysis, general accounting, financial reporting



• Strong knowledge in Finance & Accounting


• Very strong analytical skills


• Likes to work accurately


• Capability to manage databases from different systems (SAP, Essbase, Excel, Oracle Hyperion)


• Good communication and coordination skills


• Able to work in a multicultural environment


• Teamplayer


• Task oriented (critical to respect deadlines)


• Likes to proactively improve processes


• Excellent command of English is essential, any other languages would be an asset
