Advanced Detection General Managerm/f


Located in Rolle, Switzerland and reporting to the Global Fire Business President this position is responsible for managing the AD business representing $250M+ per year. The business is in multiple countries and across a diverse cultural base. This role will lead a cross-functional team to create and achieve the Annual Operating Plan and 5-year Strategic Action Plan for the customer portfolio. They will be accountable for establishing and executing business plans, develop marketplace opportunities, oversee internal processes, and provide employee leadership in the achievement of common goals. This position will require high-energy and the ability to motivate staff to work in an agile way in a fast-moving industry.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

·Plan and implement a five year growth plan (STRAP), including appropriate market initiatives which target growth opportunities ( +10% CAGR over STRAP)


·Define and clearly articulate a business growth plan


·Create and drive this aggressive growth strategy for the Advanced Detection business ensuring sales and profit objectives are met or exceeded


·Establish annual business plan and ensure business execution to meet or exceed annual revenue and operating income targets


·Develop and lead a team, assign responsibility for developing growth strategies and managing the success of the portfolio


·Drive a customer centric, high accountability culture that supports appropriate risk taking and decision making. This includes ensuring an environment that encourages and sustains the spirit and reality of a business partnership across functional organizations and other lines of business


·Provide guidance, strategies and marketing support to the Sales teams to ensure sales and pricing targets are met/exceeded and support sales in the development of appropriate sales strategies, channels and segments.


·Work with the Technology organization to develop a market driven product roadmap and investment strategy for the business which ensures global platform utilisation


·Understand and adapt to changes in technology and identify the impacts of disruptive technology


·Identify and evaluate opportunities to improve the portfolio through NPI, acquisition and divestiture as appropriate

QUALIFICATIONS:


·Leadership: Experience to overcome obstacles, succeeds in the face of adversity, and deal with ambiguity. Must know how to effectively influence and lead others across functions to get things done.


·Business Acumen: Mature business and financial acumen to discern risks/opportunities of key strategic programs at customers and Honeywell.


·Customer Knowledge: Knowledge of the customers, key players in the organization, strategic priorities.


·Product Knowledge: Breadth and depth of product knowledge, for Fire products.


·Sales Expertise: ability to understand, identify and clearly articulate specific value propositions relative to the competition. Ability to construct multiple product proposals


·Communication skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Knows when and how to communicate to optimize potential for success with customers and internal to Honeywell. Must be a good listener.


·Negotiations: Can negotiate skillfully in tough situations with both internal and external groups, can win concessions without damaging relationships, gains trust quickly of other parties in the negotiations, able to close sales deals


·Impact / Influence: Ability to influence outside of one’s sphere of control.


·High energy individual that can drive the business to exceed profitability and growth goals


·Knowledge of and experience in the Europe Market
