Embedded Software Engineer / Embedded Linux Developer (m/w)

Role and responsibilities:



  • Configuration and setup of an embedded Linux system for our product platform

  • Design and implementation of software modules within the Linux user space in C / C++

  • Device tree configuration for our Linux system

  • Boot process and configuration including necessary U-boot adaption

  • Definition of the needs for an automated build and test system and support to setup the system

  • Linux kernel driver modification for new hardware

  • Definition of test specifications and implementation of module tests, functional and system level tests

  • Supporting the definition of specifications within the requirement engineering process

  • Development of complex software modules for our embedded Linux SoC based Systems

  • Support of the design and implementation of a web based user interface

  • Documentation of the modules and Linux system in English


Your profile:



  • BSc or MSc degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent education.

  • Deep level of experience in the development of embedded Linux-Systems as well as SW modules

  • Very good C++ knowledge

  • You are familiar with clean code and have a good knowledge of Linux kernel driver development and device tree configuration

  • General knowledge of embedded SW development architecture and design pattern is useful

  • Experience in embedded Linux, Yocto based build process, in automated build Systems (for example Jenkins)

  • Knowledge of Arm based SoC platforms is an asset

  • Very good knowledge of German and English is required
