The position as Senior Software Engineer is within the Issuer Platform team in Engineering & Development at Vontobel Investment Banking. This agile team, based in Zurich and Singapore, is responsible for developing, maintaining and operating the software architecture to issue structured products globally for Vontobel.
As a Senior .Net Software Engineer you will be responsible for the following tasks:
Your challenge:
Design and development of scalable, performant and maintainable software solutions to price, issue and book structured products for Vontobel Investment Banking
Optimization and re-engineering of existing processes and systems
Ensuring software quality by contribution to code reviews, automated testing and continuous improvements to our CI/CD pipeline
Development of new tools and interfaces for trading and risk management
Operation of developed software solutions and providing support to end users (DevOps)
Your qualification:
Master Degree or PhD in Computational Science & Engineering, or technical university degrees with strong focus on software engineering
3+ years’ experience in design, development and operation of large scale software applications, preferably in the financial sector
Being passionate in developing high quality code within an international team based in Switzerland and SE-Asia
Strong object oriented programming skills (focus on .Net C#, Python, functional skills and F# as a plus)
Experienced with or strong interest in learning about structured financial products
Expertise in domains such as managing large scale data sets, applications of ML to financial data, messaging architectures or dependency management would be a plus
EU/Swiss citizen or eligible to work in Switzerland
Fluent in English, German is a plus
