  • A challenging and interesting role as member of a small team within the General Counsel Division providing legal coverage to various OTC trading desks of Credit Suisse in Zurich

  • A key position in which you will be providing subject matter expertise and comprehensive advice on OTC derivatives and foreign exchange trading including legal aspects of trading platforms

  • In this role you will have direct involvement in developing and documenting OTC derivatives products in all asset classes

  • You will be responsible for drafting and negotiating bespoke trade confirmations and other trading related agreements as well as providing legal support in complex transactions

  • You will have direct involvement in various – regional and cross-regional – projects as well as legal and regulatory initiatives in connection with financial products with opportunities to work with legal representatives from all regions

  • We provide you the chance to work in a challenging regulatory environment and opportunities to cooperate with Senior Management

  • Acting as a deputy you will be supporting your direct line manager

You Offer

 

  • A university degree in Law (JD, Master, LL.M., etc.), a qualification as an attorney is an advantage

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in the banking industry or in a law firm with a focus on finance and/or business law

  • You show an interest in the current legal and regulatory developments applicable to finance products and impacting the finance industry (e.g. FinFraG, MIFID, PRIIPS, etc.)

  • You are strongly interested in financial products

  • You have already demonstrated your strong analytical skills with a distinct flair for handling challenging issues

  • Your strong interpersonal and communication skills for building up relationship with internal partners help you to work as trusted advisor to the business

  • You are a dedicated problem solver with a positive personality and can-do attitude

  • As a committed team member you show the ability to work efficiently and independently

  • You possess proven skills of Microsoft Office application (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Fluent verbal and written communication skills in English are required, strong knowledge of German is mandatory to collaborate with different business parties

  • It would be a strong plus if you bring knowledge of any additional language (e.g. French or Italian)
