Clariant Procurement Excellence is part of the company wide Clariant Excellence initiative. We drive large-scale procurement transformations in direct and indirect spend and aim to establish a high performance procurement management across all categories, business units and regions of Clariant. The global Project Manager (m/f/d) Procurement Excellence leads transformation projects, builds procurement strategies and co-designs solutions for improvements. This person acts as a change agent to promote and drive procurement excellence, and identifies major cost savings across all categories. The best-suited candidate to this position is a result-driven, solution-oriented team player with the ability to lead end-to-end projects
Responsibilities
Develop and align sourcing strategies and support their implementation and execution
Drive maturity development of procurement (organization, people and processes)
Reduce costs and NWC, improve service levels across the entire company
Develop and use analytical methodologies to analyze demand and supply market dynamics, determine key pain points, develop best-in-class solutions, and create implementation roadmaps for improvement opportunities
Incorporate lean tools and implement best practice solutions into Clariant operating models
Execute projects and take active ownership of agreed deliverables
Act as the interface with the central procurement organization as well as the BUs to recommend and initiate change and improvements and act as a mentor and coach to manage mindset change within the organization
Requirements
Degree in Chemistry, Engineering or Business Management (preferably MBA degree)
Solid background in procurement and supply chain management (preferably 5+ years professional experience at senior level in procurement or business consulting)
Excellent project management capabilities, structured work approach and strong analytical skills
High energy to drive change with strong team work and interpersonal skills, ability to coach, train and influence people by balanced application of tools/ techniques, management systems and mindset and behaviors
Willingness to travel frequently
Excellent communication and presentation skills in English (additional languages desirable)
