Senior Regional Supply Planner

Scope of the role:

The Senior Regional Supply Planner (RSP) will be responsible for providing an optimal demand/supply plan for the finished goods of a specific internal or external manufacturer. In this role, the RSP builds the interface between the local demand teams and the supply sites with the key aim to ensure stock availability of the right products to the right locations. The tasks will include net requirement planning, inventory optimization, order management / execution (End-to-End), reporting and supplier collaboration in a regional matrix organization. In addition the role includes the expectation to constantly seek for improvements, join or lead SC projects and support the manager in developing the team further.




Main Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain a net supply plan on weekly/monthly basis taking into account the capacity situation at the suppliers and demand variations in the markets for strategic suppliers in the JnJ portfolio.

  • Proactively manage supply constraints to minimize the total business impact. Identify and drive implementation of long term solutions to avoid a reoccurrence of any given supply constraint.

  • Prepare and lead the RCCP/S&OP meeting on monthly basis in the light of a balanced long term demand and supply plan.

  • Determine stock holding policy (safety stock, etc), monitor the adherence for the given portfolio. Proactive challenge the stakeholders to seek and materialize opportunities for stock reduction.

  • Review lead-times and Minimum Order Quantities (MOQs) with key stakeholders to improve supply flexibility and reduce inventory.

  • Support New Product Introductions (NPIs) & Product Changeovers to ensure on time supply availability for launch while maintaining optimal inventory.

  • Create and maintain a strong working relationship with internal and external manufacturing partners.

  • Issue Purchase Orders (PO) and Forecast to internal and external manufacturing sites and monitor the On Time In Full (OTIF) delivery of the goods to the final warehouse.

  • Develop and drive event strategies impacting the supply network set up (i.e. production location transfers, reformulation of products etc.).

  • Take part or lead Supply Chain (Re-)design projects to optimize the end to end product and information flow.

  • Provide accurate and complete supply planning parameters & purchasing conditions for all SKUs and system maintenance.

  • Constantly strive to identify improvement initiatives in own portfolio of products and suppliers. Is able to implement quick wins on own drive and will start project work with relevant stakeholders for bigger initiatives.

  • Set all required Master Data and ensure its integrity and correctness.


Qualifications



  • Master (preferred) or Bachelor degree in Supply Chain Management, Business economics, Operations or related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years experiences in Supply Chain Planning (Demand or Supply) and ideally in another related Supply Chain field such as Procurement, Manufacturing or Logistics.

  • Has experience of working in a regional matrix organization and within virtual teams.

  • Very good working knowledge in SAP R/3 and SAP APO.

  • Experienced user of MS Office, especially strong Excel capabilities are required.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate large amounts of information leading to sound conclusions for effective decision making.

  • Able to prioritize within a complex and dynamic business environment.

  • Strong communicator/influencer with the ability to drive decision making in a clear and concise way across the different levels of the organization.

  • Good project management skills for SC design related and/or operational projects such as New Product Introductions or Product Roll Outs.

  • A positive minded Team player that is able to positively influence the organization and inspire others.

  • Able to coach team members and peers in the spirit of continuous improvement. Ideally some first people management skills.

  • A dynamic and self-driven personality, willing to go the extra mile even in periods of high workload.

  • APICS strongly preferred

  • Fluent level of written and spoken English. Additional European language is a plus.
