Role Summary:
The Power Generation Enterprise (GE Power Gas, Steam and Power Services) currently operates on several global ERP’s, mainframe operating systems and has different reporting processes and metrics across the finance enterprise. With operations covering Global Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Engineering and global Services it launched a multi-generation business transformation project to integrate, standardize and re-engineer these key business operations and finance processes.

SAP Senior Finance Manager demonstrates accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives. In this role you support the effort to implement the SAP ECC 6 ERP strategy for the Power businesses reporting to the Sourcing and Logistics Finance Design leader and in partnership with the Operation and IT teams, supported by the System Integrator (Tier 1 Consulting Company).
Key aspect of this role is:
Be an expert in the areas of MM invoice incl. 2-/3-way match - both 3rd party and intercompany, FI invoice/payment block, integration with Ariba, ERS (evaluated receipt settlement), Vendor Master Data (including vendor account groups and integration with subsystem like Ariba for vendor qualification) and Finance conditions (Tax, Intercompany Markup, Inventory Valuation)
Drive process re-engineering activities to create global standard and world-class finance design in the areas of sourcing, procurement, transportation, logistics, and supplier quality
Design a global solution from blueprinting to functional detailed design in line with Corporate Enterprise Standards (ES) as well as additional standards required by GE Power and other Shared Services teams
Create Solution Concept, Functional Design document and configure the system including, basic settings, roles & authorization, reporting
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college
Strong business process knowledge in accounting, finance and controlling. Work experience in handling accounting/costing for manufacturing companies preferably.
In depth knowledge and experience in SAP FI with experience in the following areas: sourcing, procurement, transportation, logistics, and supplier quality
Demonstrate strong knowledge and expertise in the following core SAP functionalities: FICO and MM
Demonstrate client-facing consulting experience
Fluent English verbal and written communication
Desired Characteristics:
Master’s degree in Business Administration or Finance is preferred
SAP FI (TFIN52) certification is preferred
Functional exposure in the areas of Sourcing, Procurement, Logistics, Payables
Global ERP rollout experience; Experience implementing ERP solutions in tax
Strong analytical, project management, and organizational skills
