Senior IC Quality Engineer

Position

The Senior IC Quality Engineer will become part of an international team and his role will be mainly focused on qualification of new chips an of process/product changes.
 
General Job Goals

  • Manage qualifications of new products

  • Drives activities for Process Changes at u-blox subcontractors

  • Provides support for non-conformities handling at factories

  • Defines or improves quality processes and procedures

  • Lead general improvement projects.

  • Responsibility for content of qualification reports and all reliability monitoring, testing and reporting tasks

Primary Tasks

  • Definition and execution of qualification of new chips and of process/product changes

  • Responsible for process change notification from contract manufacturers

  • Support, maintain and improve process and procedures for non conformities at wafer, assembly and test factories

  • Provide support to production in defining procedures for QA sampling tests and other special sampling instructions

  • Lead special projects for continuous improvement at IC manufacturing

  • Perform Failure Mode Analyses (FMAs) on failed units to determine root cause

  • Support for data analysis and / or containment action in case of customer returns or cases

  • Definition and execution of reliability monitor tests on u-blox products

Secondary Tasks

  • Support various laboratory activities

  • Perform risk assessment on non conformities from u-blox suppliers

  • Coordinating concession release in case of minor issues in production

  • Compile and issue the reliability monitor report including general data from wafer and assembly factories

  Profile

  • Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering

  • Minimum 5 years experience in semiconductor industry

  • Experience in Automotive industry (IATF 16949, ISO 9000, AEC-Q, PPAP, Control Plan, FMEA, MSA, etc.) and project management

  • Excellent knowledge in Quality & Reliability Engineering and statistics

  • Excellent problem solving, decision-making  and communication skills

  • Experiences Work independently, self-motivated, disciplined and proactively

  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)

  • Swiss or EU/EFTA citizen or valid work permit for Switzerland
