Global Supply Chain Analyst - Worldwide Infusion Disposables (M/F)

Job Description Summary

In this newly created position, you will join a talented team of 5 and will collaborate with expert Planners supporting the Worldwide Infusion Disposables (WWID) business in BD, in a complex and matrix international environment.



Infusion Disposables are single-use items which are designed to optimize infusion delivery, reduce the risk of infection and protect vascular access sites. The WWID team covers 8 internal manufacturing sites and 4 third-party providers, for a total of around 2'600 SKUs.

Job Description


As Global Supply Chain Analyst reporting to the Senior Manager of Global Planning for WWID, you will be responsible for driving the supply chain function of the Infusion Disposables business towards fact-based decisions, short-term and long-term predictability in supply and communication to businesses and regions to ensure business objectives are met.


While your colleagues focus on operational planning, you will be looking at activities which are occurring on production sites to identify recurring or important issues as well as making sure that action plans are in place to address the issues raised. You will also drive continuous improvement, mainly focusing on cost saving, lead time reduction and process improvement such as:



  • enhancing existing SAP utilization

  • supporting future system integration initiatives

  • mapping end-to-end processes and identify process improvement opportunities and then drive the improvements.


Furthermore, you will support the establishment of processes to mitigate risk in supply chain for the infusion disposables business through performing long term demand capacity reviews, creating “what if” scenarios for complex supply chain processes and critical families, working on the simplification of complex product flows etc. Other key responsibilities will include:



  • Supply Chain Analytics: utilizing data available from various sources to create actionable information around metrics (backorders, line fill, forecast accuracy, inventory), SIOP, network design, scenario planning, etc.

  • Long Term Planning (Budgeting and Forecasting): managing the process of creating and maintaining databases to support budgeting and forecasting of manufacturing plants to ensure changes in long term production forecast are understood well and mitigated to avoid financial, inventory and supply impact.

  • Supply Chain Segmentation: supporting the initiative to segment supply chain into segments and then identify the best supply chain to suit each segment based on business priorities and customer needs.

  • Support Managed Supply which are not managed by the WWID team in Switzerland: keeping track of supply coming from sources which are not directly managed by the Swiss team, highlighting hot issues, identification of platform recommendation around supply prioritization, etc.


About you


To deliver the performance that we are looking for, we need a degree-level educated professional in Business, Supply Chain, Statistics or a related field, ideally with a few years of experience in Supply Chain and specifically in Supply Chain Analytics in a large or complex organization.


Collaborative as well as a team player, you are very analytical, a proven problem solver and appreciate working independently. Most importantly, you are eager to contribute and open to change.


An excellent communicator, you demonstrate a strong ability to convey your key messages to various functions at different levels of the organization. A fast-learner, you understand the process and ensure that day-to-day operations performed are aligned. You are also able to deal with ambiguity and to move forward even when things are uncertain.


ERP experience would be a plus (SAP, ECC, APO or other tools) as well as working knowledge of project management. Business level fluency in English is required for this role.
