Quality Assurance Engineer

Several strategic partnerships with notable insurance companies and banks have established the Insurance & Wealth Planning division as an innovative provider of unit-linked life insurance products through its flagship investment platform. You have the opportunity to join an innovative, fast-growing business unit and contribute to a state-of-the art product offering by ensuring scalability and accuracy of the platform as quality assurance manager.

Your tasks & responsibilities

• Work hands-on Leonteq’s flagship insurance & wealth planning products and state-of-the-art proprietary platform


• Combine in-depth knowledge of trading, portfolio and risk management practices with digital platform technology


• Own the quality assurance processes in the platform engineering team


• Understand business requirements and translate them into concise and detailed test cases


• Participate in design and specification reviews to derive corresponding test suites


• Perform QA testing and other quality assurance practices and work with the development teams to drive defects to resolution


• Ensure comprehensive test coverage by working closely with various internal departments including platform engineering, platform development, key account management, risk and trading


• Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies

Our requirements

• Academic degree (preferably in Computer Sciences, Mathematics / Natural Sciences / Engineering or Finance / Economics)


• At least 2-3 years’ work experience in the finance industry


• Relevant experience in quality assurance, test case design and test frameworks


• Experience with various types of testing including end to end, user acceptance, regression, unit and API integration


• Proficiency in Excel / VBA and Oracle SQL


• Excellent interpersonal skills and team player


• Hands-on, precise and detail focused work approach


• Fluent in English, German is a plus
