Position description


The CEO-department “Business Development & Executive Office” (S/CO) stands for a holistic approach of corporate development and incorporates the responsibility for KAIZEN and process improvement, strategy and business development, organizational development, innovation and digitalization, as well as for the Executive Office. As an integral part of the department, KAIZEN and process improvement is responsible for the continuous improvement framework of SWISS and supports department to achieve their goals. Therefore a variation of methods such as Kaizen, Lean, Design Thinking etc. is offered and performed in customized workshops for internal costumers.

As position holder Process Management and Continuous Improvement, you support the management in further improving their business processes, plan and carry out workshops, design and document processes. Therefore, you are responsible for modelling existing processes, develop the process architecture as well as planning and steering improvement measures. Moreover, you actively collaborate within the process community of the Lufthansa Group. You successfully lead diverse teams and communicate effectively to all relevant internal and external stakeholders, including the visualization of subjects for appropriate presentations on management level. Hereby, you will have the unique opportunity to observe and influence change in various departments at SWISS, and be a part of a dynamic and interdisciplinary team. You report to the Head of Business Development and Executive Office based in ZRH.


 


Your Duties



  • Analyze existing processes, identify potentials of process optimization and support line management in developing new solutions and planning implementation measures

  • Design process architecture and carry out process documentation in cooperation with line management and the process community within the Lufthansa Group

  • Plan and moderate improvement workshops by means of various methods such as Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma, Design Thinking, etc.

  • Follow up results and implementation after workshops

  • Literature- and trend scouting in the field of process management, continuous improvement and new methods, carry out internal and external benchmark studies

  • Perform KPIs and reportings

  • Support the KAIZEN and continuous improvement team in ad hoc and administrative tasks

  • Actively support the holistic approach of corporate development by contributing to other topics of the department, such as strategy, organizational development, project portfolio management and innovation and digitalization


Requirements



  • University degree Master in Business Administration or Engineering & Management

  • Education in process management and improvement

  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills as well as business sense combined with good interpersonal, presentation, communication and negotiation skil

  • Proven track record in moderating workshops and executing initiatives using a variation of methods (Lean, Six Sigma, Design Thinking etc.)

  • Knowledge about airline management core processes

  • Proficiency in using common software tools (e.g. Excel, Powerpoint)

  • Professional experience in process architecture, process documentation and process management systems

  • Professional experience in the consulting industry

  • Experience in designing and moderating workshops

  • English and German, oral and written

  • Highly motivated, pro-active and self-driven individual

  • Able to communicate successfully with people on all levels in all departments

  • Strength & ability to lead diverse teams of various cultures with direct communication and dynamic leadership skills

  • Innovative spirit and inspiring personality

  • Utilize a variety of moderation methodologies, techniques, concepts and practices to ensure maximum effectiveness of workshops

  • Entrepreneurial spirit, conceptually strong and capable of seeing the bigger picture with a strong lead for change

  • Able to prioritize multiple tasks and manage time efficiently
