For the further development of our software components in the area Financial Data Feed(FDF), we are looking for a motivated software developer who is interested in the banking business and Is willing to learn and grow.
The Avaloq Asset Connectivity module is our strategic enterprise data management solution within the Avaloq Banking Suite that supports the centralized management and processing of financial instruments using data coming from Bloomberg, SIX, Reuters and other providers.
As a member of the Financial Data Feed squad you are responsible for product development, maintenance and evolution of our Asset Connectivity solution.
The role requires strong technical skills and the covered functional areas range from object modelling to data provider services and external application interfaces.
Together with our software developers you analyze customer requirements, data vendor releases and help design and develop new functionalities.
Besides developing functionality in the area of Financial Data Feed, you have the chance to support software development in other areas of application or to work on interdisciplinary innovation projects in the company.
The Avaloq Banking Suite is mainly programmed in PL/SQL and our own script language Avaloq Script. The development takes place in our integrated development environment which is a strongly customized Eclipse platform. Within this development environment we follow standardized and industrialized processes starting from specification, going over development and ending with packaging and deployment of the software.Your Responsibilities
Analysis of client requirements and design and implementation of new functionality
Tight collaboration with the business analysts and software architects on designing software solutions
Extension of the standard customization for the Avaloq Banking Suite
Maintenance of existing functionality
Development of automated tests and support of our development center in Manila for the maintenance of existing tests
Update of technical documentation in close collaboration with business analysts and technical writers
Technical support of customer projects (new implementation of the Avaloq Banking Suite or upgrades)
Education
Bachelor or master’s degree in computer science
Professional Experience & Skills
Solid knowledge of software engineering
Profound understanding of relational database programming, in particular with Oracle technology
Analytical and results-oriented
Experience in development of complex applications are an advantage
Strong squad player
Eager to learn and take on new challenges
Interested in the banking business
English language skills (German is a plus)
Experience in working with Agile methodology is a plus.
