ETRM Solution Engineer

Tasks



  • Delivering an end to end software service on change requests assigned personally and being capable of performing all roles within the development life-cycle from requirements gathering and specification through to development, test coordination, and release management

  • Developing and promoting industry standard processes and technologies within the Axpo Group

  • Providing guidance for solution design and development for BI relevant topics

  • Ensure compliance with Axpo IT security management processes, quality standards and active promotion of quality awareness in area of responsibility

  • Ensuring proper system documentation in area of assigned responsibility

  • Providing 2nd and 3rd level support for various applications and interfaces, active support in system maintenance

  • Ensuring proactive and efficient cooperation with the other ETRM teams and all other stakeholders, both internal and external


Profile



  • Degree in information science, engineering, finance or other relevant discipline

  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, ideally within an energy or commodity trading environment with exposure to market risk reporting, credit risk reporting or regulatory reporting

  • High affinity to IT and data management, programming skills preferred (Java, .net, TSQL, a.o.) and ideally understanding of RDBMS, ETL process design , MDM EBX technologies.

  • Strong problem solving skills and customer orientation

  • Excellent communication and cooperation across functions and hierarchies

  • Fluent English and German preferred
