Falcon Private Bank seeks a highly motivated and organized individual to serve as a Compliance Officer (in the Front Compliance area). The ideal candidate is inquisitive and keen to continue futher their knowledge in compliance. The role will primarily oversee and manage the client onboarding activities, collaborate with relationship managers on providing applicable guidelines, draft and oversee policies and procedures. The role aims to support and facilitate Falcon’s business to be conducted and supervised in compliance with applicable laws, regulations and bank policies. In addition, the role will reinforce the bank’s culture of compliance providing general compliance advice and support Falcon’s business, with the opportunity to grow within the cryptocurrencies business expertise.


Duties and Responsibilities



  • Support relationship managers and management on compliance and supervisory matters

  • Formal and material review and examination of completeness and plausibility of new and existing relationships in accordance with CDB16 and internal policies

  • Carry out enhanced due diligence for high risk clients, PEP relationships and complex structures as well as drafting assessments

  • Ensuring compliance with external and internal regulations in order to actively manage operational, regulatory and reputational risks

  • Become a subject matter expert in the cryptocurrencies area

  • Participation in projects

  • Development and implementation of employee training


Skills and Qualifications



  • Undergraduate degree preferably in finance, compliance or law

  • At least two to three years of experience in a comparable role in a private bank

  • Knowledge and good understanding of all applicable regulations (e.g. CDB16, AMLA, AMLO-FINMA, MiFID, etc.)

  • Understanding of cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology advantageous

  • Fluency in German and English is mandatory, any other language would be an asset

  • Strong knowledge of MS Office and banking applications, experience in Avaloq is preferable

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

  • Independent, proactive, reliable and trustworthy team player
