For our Propulsion and Controls division based in Zürich /Switzerland we are currently looking to recruit a Software Engineer for Converter Control Platform.



Your Tasks



- Elaborate concepts for the control and protection of converters

- Design, document, implement, test and integrate converter control software Review and establish software requirements, test specifications as well as architecture and design descriptions

- Optimize control algorithms

- Elaborate software design for development and order projects according to quality guidelines, e.g. EN50128 and EN50126

- Analyze and solve incidents resulting from the operation of the vehicle

- Enhance and extend the automatic test environment on real time simulators

- Provide support and maintenance for converter control software and hardware

- Establish hardware requirement specification

- Maintain and enhance the simulation environment

- Work together with other team members to ensure that project goals are met

- Ensure the attainability of deadlines, costs and goals of allocated work packages




Qualifications



- Degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering (M.Sc. / B.Sc.) with a specialization in control and/or computer engineering

- Practical experience (2-3 years) in the implementation and integration of real-time control systems for transportation or other industrial applications

- Knowledge in power electronics and drives is beneficial

- Knowledge of programming languages, e.g. Matlab/Simulink, VHDL, Hidraw

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills

- English language, both spoken and written (additional languages such as German are an advantage)
