We Offer

  The Senior FCC Officer for MEAT (Middle East, Africa & Turkey) will join the global Financial Crime Compliance (FCC) group, reporting to the Head FCC Europe & MEAT within International Wealth Management (IWM). The role holder will be responsible for managing the financial crime program for MEAT, maintaining a view of the financial crime risks within the region, and escalating client-related financial crime risks to the relevant Head IWM FCC Europe & MEAT. Specifically, the role requires the following: 

  • Provide advice in relation to all Global Advisory & Standards (GA&S) team policies and standards, which covers Anti-Bribery & Corruption (ABC), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Sanctions, High Risk Client Monitoring (HRCM) and Financial Crime Intelligence Unit (FIU), across the market area of MEAT

  • Provide oversight on the implementation of divisional and regional minimum standards being executed by the in-country Compliance Officers responsible for FCC risk management in MEAT region

  • Provide oversight of the AML officers in the MEAT market area (including U.A.E, Qatar, Lebanon, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, etc.) in the execution of their FCC responsibilities, including regulatory requirements

  • Provide market area insights to the Standard and Policy team for consideration in developing or enhancing standards

  • Review and provide commentary on Management Information (MI) for all coverage teams across the market area, as required

  • Advice on operational metrics generated from the offshore delivery centres in relation to the market area (for example, customers screening and transactions surveillance metrics)

  • Represent the relevant region in supervisory and governance forums

  • Represent FCC MEAT at industry working groups focused on FCC

  • Assist in providing input into risk assessments for the MEAT area

  • Identifying and assessing developments in legal and regulatory requirements affecting the market area and ensuring that CS policies and procedures remain appropriate for MEAT

  • Inform regional senior management on market area MEAT including risks, either emerging in the market or arising within the bank, results of relevant Risk Assessment (RA) and CTA, and any associated mitigating action plans

  • Acting as a point of escalation on key FCC risks encountered by countries within the market area or related to client relationships assigned to the regional market area

  • Escalate, as appropriate, any FCC related risks and issues to respective FCC Senior Management as appropriate

  • Assist with Audit points related to the MEAT region


 


You Offer

 

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the financial services industry – preferable Compliance or FCC area

  • Business / Economics / Finance / Law degree

  • Experience of having led a Global/ Regional Financial Crime Compliance program / function in an international Banking / Financial Services environment is an advantage

  • Strong understanding of the variance in financial crime risk profile across each of the relevant jurisdictions in MEAT

  • Understanding of emerging technologies and their impact on customer / client service demands of a bank

  • Control framework design and implementation experience

  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of financial crime rules and regulation and the global regulatory landscape

  • Fully conversant with FCC regulatory regimes and requirements in each of the MEAT jurisdictions and in Switzerland

  • Strong project management experience

  • Experienced in managing legal, regulatory and cultural restrictions in different countries

  • Excellent relationship management skills to maintain relationships with senior stakeholders across Credit Suisse globally

  • Experience of working in a matrix organization and skilled in navigating a matrixed global environment

  • Proven ability to manage both BAU and significant changes simultaneously and effectively

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Understanding of what makes a robust control environment

  • Must be fluent in English. Advanced Arabic and German language skills would be a plus
