Tasks



  • Building, implementing and refining Axpo's Global LNG strategy in alignment with top management directives

  • Identifying and proposing new business opportunities and performing full analysis on cost/benefits of the deals.

  • Identifying and closing LNG transactions with counterparts based on proper risk/profit analysis whilst ensuring full alignment with the compliance with internal policies and procedures;

  • Developing deal documentation, presenting and defending deals outside mandate to Axpo's management

  • Open opportunities in downstream business particularly in Europe and other world regions

  • Strategic and efficient relationship management with LNG counterparties ensuring trustful cooperation and observation of contractual obligations

  • Coordinating with analysis team to further improve fundamental analysis on LNG global S/D balance.

  • Annual planning of budget, procurement volumes, measures, etc.

  • Managing a team of 2


Profile



  • Academic Degree in Finance/Economics or similar

  • Minimum of 5-8 years experience in LNG and natural gas markets, excellent understanding of fundamental drivers, logistics and market dynamics

  • Extensive knowledge of LNG shipping economics, operations, chartering, understanding technical operational and commercial aspects,

  • Proven commercial track record within LNG in trading and commercial shipping.

  • Excellent negotiator, able to adapt negotiating styles to achieve commercial aims

  • Proven track record of closing MSPA's and CN's

  • Proven strong network in the industry, excellent understanding of trading hubs, market participants and behaviors, financial hedging, financial and operation risk exposure

  • Excellent influencing and people management skills

This role is a great opportunity to make significant contributions to the further growth of Axpo's Global LNG business. The position offers a great amount of entrepreneurial freedom as well as the support of the company's strong analytics and business resources, needed to get the job done. The role is to be located at our HQ in Baden/Zurich Switzerland.
