Working as part of a small team of medical instrument and consumables manufacturer, to coordinate, plan and expedite the flow of materials (from suppliers and also within internal production) according to production schedules.
Essential Responsibilities:
Responsible for material ordering, availability, and scheduling to meet minimum inventory levels
Ensure systematic accuracy of inventory
Rescheduling materials for pull-ins (expedites) and push-outs (for inventory control)
Daily Shortage root cause investigation and resolution
Partner closely with suppliers focusing on: Packaging needs, min/max planning. PCNs, as they relate to old/existing parts, materials replenishment planning, root-cause problem solving
Support production and logistics to investigate and resolve material issues
Support material transfer, supplier reviews with Sourcing
Manage Phase-in / Phase-out (NPI) to minimize obsolete material
Support tool development for prediction of material issues
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with some experience in Manufacturing)
Working knowledge of Material Requirements Planning (MRP)
Oracle knowledge & Experience
Proficient in Windows
Six Sigma Green Belt certification is an advantage
