The main product you will work on will be the Front Workplace, our new web-based application for client-facing employees, covering a wide range of banking functionality, from client onboarding and relationship management all the way through to core banking transactions.
We want you to help us build the best banking software product on the market, supporting our squads of product owners, developers, business analysts and software architects in all areas relevant to interaction design.
Tasks and responsibilities
Supporting the production team in implementing the product design process, with a particular focus on overall usability topics
Working as part of the agile product development team to build world-class solutions for client advisors and other client-facing roles in the bank
Evangelizing design across the entire product development cycle
Identifying personas and defining the main user journeys
Defining the product information architecture
Carrying out reviews and usability testing (e.g. qualitative)Helping to define Avaloq design usability standards and to promote a “design first” company culture
Participating in pre-sales and pre-project analysis and design phases of strategic client projects, leading the user-centred design approach
Your personal profile
Experience in leading product design activities, preferably for fintech products
Experience in creating low-fidelity and high-fidelity design deliverables (e.g. wireframes), ready to be used to create clickable prototypes
Familiarity with the most common design tools (e.g. Sketch, Balsamiq, InVision, Adobe Suite etc.)
Practical experience in agile working methodologies, such as Scrum and Kanban
Excellent communication and analytical skills
Ability to find the right balance between quick wins and target solutions
Willingness to help stakeholders to understand and to evaluate design KPIs (e.g. mobile-first approach)
Good insight into short and long-term goals, including the integration of an MVP approach where applicable
Team player, experienced in working with heterogeneous (geographically distributed) IT teams
Fluent in English; German, Italian and French a big plus
Knowledge of Avaloq considered a strong advantage
Ability to work successfully both in a team and independently
Well-developed analytical and conceptual skills, reinforced by a structured problem-solving approach
Ability to autonomously get around in a highly challenging, fast-paced and complex business environment
