We Offer

  The Head of Language Technology and Strategic Projects is instrumental in the development and transformation of the Language & Translation Services (L&TS) operating model and the revised process to enhance provision of language services within a cost-efficient framework. The role includes line management responsibility and is part of the L&TS management team, directly reporting to the sub-department head. 

• A very interesting and strategic position in Credit Suisse's global Language & Translation Services (L&TS) organization within Corporate Functions


• Managing the Translation Technology function taking into account the specialist, operational, and strategic objectives and targets of L&TS


• Assume lead or act as subject matter expert transformation projects with language technology focus with the aim of improving cost effective service delivery and enhancing customer experience globally


• Lead innovation by aligning the bank's business needs with developments in the language industry and translation technology market in a fast changing environment


• Benchmarking with peer organizations and the market with focus on digitalization of translation processes and the use of artificial intelligence


• You to exchange with internal clients to gather requirements on specific needs and support solution finding (e.g. content management system integration, machine translation solutions)


• Design, implement and monitor new processes, ensure training for internal and external partners


• Assume business ownership for L&TS applications in close collaboration with the internal IT department and the application vendors


• You coordinating upgrades and maintenance tasks of L&TS applications in conjunction with internal IT. Lead education of L&TS on new functionality as appropriate.


• Ensure user support of L&TS application in collaboration with the translation technology team and the internal IT organization

 

You Offer

 

• Degree in translation with specialization on technology or computational linguistics or IT with strong focus on language technology solutions or equivalent professional experience / track record


• Profound knowledge of the translation and localization industry and processes, ideally in a management function


• Sound experience with language technology tools (translation management systems, CAT tools, machine translation


• Good language skills (very good English)


• Management experience and skills


• Education and/or experience in project management


• A winning and open personality with excellent interpersonal skills combined with an outstanding ability to communicate


• Personal integrity, with the initiative and the ability to work as part of a team in an environment that demands excellence, time and energy


• You are a dedicated problem solver with a positive, empathetic personality and the passion to handle multiple challenging priorities and assignments
