Challenging and exciting role as Senior Developer in Portfolio Management Systems IT
Provide architectural decisions in synchronization with the architect counterparts of the surrounding or complementary systems (e.g. DB/Java / Host), as well the central architecture
Develop solid relationships with our business partners
Negotiate with IT, Technology Services and business partners about feasibility of their needs and identify solutions to satisfy them
Be willing and able to adapt to changes in priorities and requirements
Partner with the other leads in the team to help innovate and deliver value to our business users
As an agile application developer, develop, test, design, manage and support high quality systems
Take over component ownership of several JAVA applications (e.g. for Asset Source, Client Data, etc)
Institutionalize best practice approaches, verify and improve code quality of the delivered software; this includes the automation of the product delivery including automated build, tests, code checks as well as defining standards, code models
Find new ways of technology approaches in the organization which open new paradigms of business opportunities
Independently handle production incidents as part of level 3 support
Work in a global setup; collaborate with development teams in Zürich and India
You Offer
Should have 5+ years of total IT experience preferably with Portfolio Management in Investment Banking domain with proven track record of delivering medium to large IT Development projects
Minimum Bachelor of Engineering or MS from reputed university
Knowledge and experience, including but not limited to Java Language, J2EE, Database and Web-technologies, OO, UML, MQ, Unix/Linux
Strong communication (both written & verbal) & presentation skills in English
Proven track record of leading development projects comprising of Java, Spring with Oracle PL/SQL performance tuning
Should have experience in methodologies like Agile/Scrum, Continuous Integration, Test Driven Development and passion for automating Integration Testing
Should have very good knowledge on Design Patterns & Data Model, UML
Ability to understand the big picture and context of problems before applying analytical skills to address the issues
Expertise in Architecture & Performance management of high performance applications in banking and the financial domain
Exhibits high degree of flexibility and “can do” attitude. Ability to work with very limited level of instruction and supervision
