Introduction

ALTEN Switzerland is growing rapidly within our TECHNO division and we are looking for experienced and dedicated Electrical System Engineer to join a new project in the rail vehicle construction area based in Zurich. For our consultants it means that you will have opportunities to grow with us and also to influence in what directions we are expanding. Your development is our most important focus.

Responsibilities

• Construction and conception of systems and assemblies.


• Integrating electrical systems into our multiple units.


• Technical coordination with other disciplines (software development, installation planning, mechanical engineering,  etc.).


• Design of electrical components.


• Create technical concepts, specifications and drafts of functional electrical diagrams.


• Supervise the assembly and initial commissioning of the vehicles.


• Support type tests (creation of type test specifications).


• Working with customers, suppliers and regulatory authorities.

Skills

• Completed degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent education with upstream vocational training.


• Experience in the design of complete systems.


• Experience with electrical system, functional and technical requirements, system integration, architecture.


• Power Electronics / Avionics / Automation.


• Knowledge of DOORS.


• Professional experience in the field of plant or rail vehicle construction as well as in the field of drive technology   desirable.


• German mandatory, English is a must, French is a plus.
