The Communication Business Partner is a Senior Communication Manager whose primary responsibility is to advise the heads of Business Process Management (BPM) Finance and Procurement and Global Procurement (GP) on communication strategy that advances the business agenda and translates into value-adding communication. The Communications Business Partner supports senior leaders during change efforts with strategy, planning and implementation of change communications concepts. The successful candidate will be a permanent member of the BPM Leadership Team and the Global Procurement Leadership Team and take an active role in the leadership of both organizations regarding communication, organizational culture, change management and stakeholder management. 
The position reports into the Head of Business Process Management in Group Finance and will have a dotted reporting line into the Head of Finance and IT Communications, Group Communications. The successful candidate will work closely with communication colleagues within Procurement, who will have a dotted reporting line into the Communication Business Partner.

Responsibilities include:



  • Develop and execute the communication strategy for BPM and GP to support the organisation's’ goals and priorities, develop an integrated change communication strategy and project related change communications plans for the organisations in line with the overall Group Finance strategy (including stakeholder management, organizational readiness, impact analysis, resistance identification/resolution, training, preparation for steady state and success metrics)

  • Advise and support the leadership teams on change communication and management in order to communicate aligned messages and create engagement with the communities, develop messages and presentations for senior executives (e.g. slides, videos)

  • Evaluate communication channels within BPM and GP (as well as further audiences as appropriate) to ensure messages reach the target audience in a way that serves their needs and is most effective, develop, write/contribute to, edit and publish key messages, talking points, internal news, announcements, articles, speaking points and presentations for internal audiences

  • Work with the Head of Finance & IT Communications and the Communication Business Partners for Pharma and Diagnostics Finance on an integrated change communications strategy for Finance to ensure cross-functional and cross-divisional alignment across Group Finance (examples: Leading Transformation, One Finance; Strategic Framework)

  • Support the two Heads with internal communication activities including employee events (e.g. employee town halls)

  • Provide communication support for key projects in BPM and GP

  • Contribute to enterprise collaboration tools (Touchpoint, Team gSite and Google+; communication plan and moderation)

    Requirements:




  • A university degree is required, preferably in Journalism, Communication or English, minimum 7 years of experience in corporate and change communication, preferably in Finance, Procurement or IT, or agency experience supporting corporate/banking/high-tech sector

  • Strong interpersonal skills and intercultural understanding; demonstrated excellence in relationship building and partnering at all levels within an organization

  • Can handle high workload and prioritize, adapt to changing requirements and manage expectations efficiently and effectively

  • Excellent English both written and verbal, other languages a plus

  • Experience with or willingness to learn web publishing/enterprise collaboration tools

  • Able to travel up to 30% of working time
