Apply to JobJob ID250643BRPosition TitleGlobal Launch Execution DirectorJob DescriptionThe Global Launch Execution Director must work closely and collaboratively with key Pharma Leaders (Key market Commercial Execution Head, Business Franchise Head; WWF & Global functions ) as well as other key Novartis stakeholders (e.g. IT, Product Life-cycle Services (PLS)) to align and fulfill common objectives such as:



• Processes: through developing, implementing and ensuring capability for worldwide teams (global and local cross functional teams) to use appropriate clear and simple processes (Integrated Product Strategy etc). Delivering tangible, effective product strategies based on external insights, and clear externally based strategic assumptions to support effective strategic planning

• Partners: with content holders (WWF and CPO franchise teams, Commercial Execution function) to ensure application of appropriate technical approaches, mindset and cross functional input. This should be through global and local teams working together holistically to deliver brand performance. Acts to ensure continual quality together with CPO/regional management and Commercial Leadership Team in global setting

• Execution: Ensures a simple and robust framework/ tools to enable the effective measurement of the delivery of strategic imperatives to execution. In so doing that all local and global brand teams are able to effectively track, apply feedback and course correct in a timely manner to continually improve. Will partner with other GCE functions to ensure cross functional approach-driving strong linkage between sales, marketing, analysis and infrastructure etc

• People: Drives functional and technical marketing agenda for all levels of marketing within Pharma. Including the competencies, skills and knowledge expected of our marketing professionals. Ensuring both a profile that is effective for today and with a continued view on skills/mindset required for the future business models

• Ensures new marketing capabilities are built in line with new commercial models to allow successful implementation

• Change Management: This function will often operate in areas of ambiguity and rapid change as is the nature of launch. A critical requirement will be the ability to successfully challenge the business to create positive disruption while balancing the importance of core fundamentalsMinimum requirements• A related bachelor degree, MBA preferred

• 8-10 years’ experience at country operational level, plus minimum 5 years Marketing experience

• Country Business Franchise head and/or Worldwide Associate Brand

• Country operational experience in launching a new brand mandatory, multi-country experience highly desirable

• Proven ability as a ‘change agent’ able to credibly ‘challenge’ where appropriate and be a role model as the inspirational catalyst for change

• Specific, strong marketing experience, both global and local- knowledge of cross functional strategy development, marketing processes, planning and execution etc.

• Experience in other functions, Sales, Patient Access, Medical, Key Account Management desirable

• Strong cross functional knowledge-understanding how different functions interact and collaborate to achieve positive outcomes

• Experienced in working with matrix functions to develop cross functional winning marketing strategies and tactics

• Able to network and communicate clearly across many functions and levels of the organization

• Can demonstrate strong partnership with others in order to achieve outcomes through both support and influence.
