Project Director AlbuRx Design (Job ID: R-066908)

As Project Director AlbuRx Design you build and develop the Single Facility Design for the platform of our successful product Albumin around the globe. The facility design will need to be repeatable at any site within the CSL manufacturing network and will enable CSL to efficiently deliver AlbuRx manufacturing facilities with an operational efficiency and robustness, pre-determined capacity. High level of product quality needs to be enabled at all stages of production.

Your responsibilities furthermore include:

• Harmonizing the facility design by ensuring operational efficiency and robustness, pre-determined capacity and realizing a consistent procurement strategy for harmonized systems to maximize economies of scale and institutional knowledge amongst the vendors


• Leading a global, cross-functional project team and internal and external subject matter experts to deliver intended value and benefits, aligned with CSL strategy, stakeholder expectations and within the desired time frame


• Inspiring team members and management to successfully integrate deliverables into the overall end product, service, results and benefits


• Applying the CSL stage gate methodology for strategic capital project management (CANBERRA)


• Close collaboration with global stakeholders and external experts to assure development of an appropriate level of design standardization under consideration of the overall project objectives


• Ensuring that existing engineering and equipment standards are further developed and incorporated into the AlbuRx design


• Overseeing resource requirements and project costs at all stages and making sure, that required project resources are identified and secured to complete the work of the project


• Identifying and assessing risks and opportunities related to the project at an early stage

Furthermore, you possess the following competencies:

• University degree in Engineering, a Scientific field or equivalent, including experience using a formal project management methodology, techniques and tools and experience in facility design


• Successful track record of leading global, multi-functional projects in a matrix-organization


• Strong leadership, consultative, communication and conflict management skills to influence project leaders and stakeholders at all levels and achieve team objectives while maintaining a positive team environment


• Acute and bright thinker and doer with a very high capacity of execution in a dynamic global environment


• Energetic and proactive person with strong communication and negotiation skills and the ability to cope with time pressure in demanding situations


• Highly motivated self-starter with good problem-solving and social skills, service orientation and dedication


• Proficiency and use of enterprise computer applications including the Microsoft suite of products and project management software


• Excellent written and spoken language skills in English; German skills would be a plus

In this role you ideally work the first year of employment at the manufacturing site Kankakee, as of the second year, the work location could be at any of the CSL Behring manufacturing sites.
