The AO Foundation is a medically guided, not-for-profit organization led by an international group of surgeons specialized in the treatment of trauma and disorders of the musculoskeletal system. Founded in 1958 by 13 visionary surgeons, AO fosters one of the most extensive networks of currently over 20,000 surgeons, operating room personnel, and scientists in over 100 countries.

AOSpine is an international community of spine surgeons generating, distributing, and exchanging knowledge to advance science and the spine care profession through research, education, and community development. Today, AOSpine has a community of 6,500 members.


We are looking for a highly motivated personality for our office in Dübendorf as an


 


Project Manager/Project Coordinator AOSpine Europe 100% temporary


 


In this function you will support AOSpine Europe in becoming a dynamic academic and community leader in spine care throughout the region. You will be part of the Europe team. Your main responsibility will be to manage and coordinate the execution of all educational events and the development of constructive working relationships with stakeholders in these areas (country councils, faculty, members and industry partners) to enable the strongest possible engagement and buy-in to AOSpine.


In this role you will be required to



  • Manage and coordinate the execution of all educational events in accordance with AOSpine / AO Foundation organizational policies and guidelines

  • Develop constructive working relationships with stakeholders in these areas (country councils, members and industry partners) to enable the strongest possible engagement and buy-in to AOSpine

  • Serve as primary point of contact for all national officers and for all activities across a sub-region, partner with councils to develop country-specific plans

  • Organize country council meetings incl. agenda planning, minute taking in coordination with national chairperson

  • Project management of the CME accreditation process and ensure compliance with the AO Corporate Identity and Sponsorship Guidelines at educational events

  • Professional management of country council meetings, agenda planning and minutes in coordination with national chairperson


In order to master this challenge you have



  • University Bachelor's degree or at least 3 years professional experience in a similar position, especially in a scientific/medical environment, or specific professional further training

  • Experience with budget responsibility

  • Project management skills

  • Experience in developing project plans and time schedules

  • German and English is a must, each additional language is a plus
