AOSpine is an international community of spine surgeons generating, distributing, and exchanging knowledge to advance science and the spine care profession through research, education, and community development. Today, AOSpine has a community of 6,500 members.

For our office in Dübendorf, we are looking for a highly motivated person to fill the position of:


Sponsorship & Exhibit SalesConsultant


Your main responsibilities will be to support the congress team and raise money through the sale of sponsorship and exhibition packages for conferences by targeting various companies, organizations and associations.


In this role you will be required to



  • Act as a sales lead on assigned exhibitions and meetings

  • Research and develop a list of potential sponsors and exhibitors for each conference

  • Utilize telephone solicitation, electronic and written correspondence and face-to-face meetings as tools to reach and exceed the budgeted sponsorship target for each conference

  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing and potential sponsorship clients and exhibitors 

  • Implement, assess, and adjust sales plans with support from the team

  • Development of new sponsorship opportunities; support the events team in developing sponsorship catalogues, exhibition manuals and promotional material

  • Uncover, analyze, and utilize market research and competitive data

  • Generate reports on sales activities and share findings , keep precise records of conversations with all clients, sponsors and exhibitors


In order to master this challenge you have



  • A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in advertising and events sales, ideally in the medical field, preferably in orthopedics

  • Proven track record of working in the field of health care systems or healthcare associations, either in customer relationship management, sponsoring or governmental affairs in industry or non-profit organizations

  • Deep knowledge of compliance regulations and experience in practical implementation

  • Ability to effectively plan sales strategy

  • Strong communication and networking skills

  • Excellent oral and written communication in English

  • High degree of professionalism and customer service mindset

  • Ability (and flexibility) to travel and participate in weekend assignments at international meetings, events and congresses required

  • The ability to effectively work to tight deadlines and manage projects independently within allocated resources
