Apply to JobJob ID250967BRPosition TitleSenior Global Program Project ManagerJob DescriptionThe Senior Global Program Project Manager (Sr GPPM) provides program/project management expertise and operational support for complex, multi-indication, drug development programs/projects (DDPP) to Global Program Teams (GPTs) in development, and maintains accurate plans, documentation, and resource forecasts.They support the GPTD to ensure smooth day-to-day operation of the GPT, help resolve program issues, and help facilitate alignment across sub-teams and line functions. The Sr GPPM may deputize for GPTDs and lead ad-hoc cross-functional task forces/sub-teams and directly contributes to the program strategy and risk mitigation plan.



Main Accountabilities:



- Provides program/project management expertise to the GPT driving planning excellence, ongoing monitoring

and execution of the program/project and cross- functional alignment of integrated DDPP strategy and goals

- Attends all core team meetings, prepares agendas and clear concise accurate minutes. Responsible for

identifying and capturing action items and liaising with Global Program Team Members (GPTMs) on follow-up

activities and deliverables

- Supports GPTD in day-to-day operations of the program

- May deputize for GPTDs

- Contributes to the overall integrated strategy and scenario generation of assigned DDPP

- Aids the GPT in the identification of operational and strategic risks and the development of mitigation

strategies

- Supports GPTD/GPH on Disease Area Strategy ensuring cross-functional alignment

- Supports GPT cross-functional planning, prioritization and operations

- Responsible for ensuring aligned DDPP plans (including scenarios) are complete and accurately reflected in

the enterprise planning system (i.e. Horizon); creates “work packages” (WPs), the “building blocks” of the

integrated development plan; and works with nominated work package owners/managers to customize those

WPs to reflect specific project activities, incorporating schedule and resources; is responsible for managing

assigned WPs

- Responsible to challenge schedules and financial forecasts provided by work package owners/managers, in

order to establish accurate aligned DDPP plans in Horizon; enabling efficient execution of the approved

strategy

- Responsible with Finance to assemble and monitor DDPP financial forecasts; and for timely flagging and

communication of variances/deviations with accompanying rationale to the GPT

- Responsible for proactively identifying and flagging issues and potential bottlenecks within the DDPP plans

and resource forecast; and proposing solutions

- Leads cross-functional task forces or sub-teams as agreed by GPTD

- Supports communications to management e.g., monthly project updates

- Helps program team continuity during GPTM transitions and through on-boarding of new GPTMs

- Peer coaching new GPPMs for effective on-boarding into roleMinimum requirementsEducation:

Masters or Doctorate in life sciences/chemistry or Bachelors of Science plus Masters in Business Administration



Languages:

Fluent English (oral and written)



Skills & Experience:

1. 5+ years in the industry

2. 5+ years or equivalent multi-/cross functional team experience

3. Demonstrated track record of success working on an international multidisciplinary drug development team, preferably in a complex matrix environment

4. Intermediate knowledge of drug development process

5. Intermediate knowledge of regulatory and business requirements

6. Intermediate level of basic science (advanced level required for positions on early development teams)

7. Expert planning and tracking skills, with the ability to capture details and summarize across GPT/program

8. Knowledge of resource (forecast and headcount) planning and management

9. Well organized, focused on results, capable of managing multiple projects, excellent time management skills with respect to priorities and self-management
