One of the most important pharmaceutical production plants of Novartis Technical Operations is located in Stein: The plant Stein Steriles. The site is launch site & center of excellence worldwide for innovative sterile drug products for injection containing Biologics as well as manufacturing site for clinical supplies of sterile dosage forms required in global clinical studies.



The Team Leader Analytics in responsible for the management of AS&T processes and procedures. He/she supports the development and implementation of the strategic direction within the organization.



The main accountabilities are the following:



• Provides expertise and support to the Quality and the Process Units on technical, analytical and organizational procedures

• Responsible for the timely execution of AS&T activities in compliance with cGMP legal and regulatory requirements and with the Novartis Corporate Quality Manual and Policies

• Ensures development and optimization of analytical methods for cleaning validation for PharmOps CH Sterile products

• Liaise regularly and effectively with TRD Analytical Development groups to ensure that newly developed analytical methods are robust and effective in the commercial laboratory environment

• Leads the AS&T group and ensures the development of the team members in technical and leadership skills while maintaining a good communication culture within the team

• Evaluates and implements new technologies required to maintain state-of-the-art analytical methods for development and market products

• Maintains state-of-the-art knowledge of health authority requirements, trends, technologies, processes and systems and provides input to health authority requests

• Prepares and participates in inspections and audits

• Responsible for the team budget preparation and ensures that the approved budget is met

• Leads and supports local and global projects

Minimum requirements• (Technical) University/academical degree in general or medical microbiology, biochemistry, pharmacy, chemistry or equivalent

• Fluent in German and English (spoken/written)
